Experience:
Applicant must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade of GS-14 or equivalent band level of responsibility in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience include:
utilizing risk analysis management approaches in support of policy development, program evaluation and work planning; supervising staff and planning, organizing and directing the activities of staff; directing the design and conduct of comprehensive quantitative and qualitative studies; developing and implementing risk management policies; establishing priorities for inspection, analysis and compliance activities. Time in Grade Requirement:
In addition to the specialized experience requirement, federal employees must meet the following time-in-grade requirement by the closing date of this announcement. GS-15:
Applicants must have 52 weeks at the GS-14 grade level or higher in the Federal service. Supervisory Statement:
The candidate chosen for this position must serve a one-year supervisory probationary period if s/he has not previously been a supervisor. In accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series and grade level as described in their position description. Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of times the other duties were performed. It is expected that this documentation is included in the employee's official personnel record. In order to receive credit for experience in your resume that is not within the official series and grade level of your official position, you must provide a copy of the appropriate documentation of such experience as indicated above.
