Biological Science Technician
The position of Biological Laboratory Technician falls under the 0404 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-09, you must meet the following:
Minimum Qualifications Specialized Experience. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-8 grade level in the Federal service that includes experience in operating optical and electron microscopes and preparing biological samples; performing laboratory operations, techniques, or procedures; documenting procedures, presenting findings, and writing reports. -OR- Two (2) years of progressively higher-level graduate education or a master's degree directly related to the work of the position. -OR- Combination of experience and education as described above.
