The position of Supervisory Mathematical Statistician falls under the 1529 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-15, you must either of the Basic Requirement AND meet the Minimum Qualifications as follows:
Basic Requirements A. Have a bachelor's degree that included 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, of which at least 12 semester hours were in mathematics and 6 semester hours were in statistics. OR B. Have a combination of education and experience -- at least 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, including at least 12 hours in mathematics and 6 hours in statistics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. NOTE:

Experience:
Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade of GS-14 or equivalent band level of responsibility in the Federal service managing/providing leadership direction to a staff in the areas of administrative, technical, human resources and/or furthering the goals of equal employment opportunity. Experience conducting statistical research; supervising or leading a team in research activities of statistics and/or biostatistics in the conception and formulation of ideas or approaches. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
